I saw this trailer at apple trailers page a while ago and have been looking forward to this release. Lets see if this film lives up to its 8.0 IMDB rating. It is released by famous scene group SAPHiRE in the form of a DVDScreener, which is good news. This movie is essentially about poker, but more about losing in poker. Some pretty recognizable faces appear in this film. People who aren’t A-listers but have appeared in major television shows or films, such as Richard Kind, Woody Harrelson, Mike Epps and a personal favourite of mine David Cross (gotta love Arrested Development).

Quality: Image quality looks clear enough for a 1CD rip at a decent 774kb/s bitrate and the audio is above average at 151kb/s. There is a rather annoying blurred watermark at the bottom of the screen but this is not unusual for a DVDScreener. No B/W scenes.

Once again the professional critics have a different opinion about a movie than the “standard user”. IMDB rates this with a good 7 out of 10 (7000 votes) while RottenTomatoes just give this a 21% fresh. Personally I can just rate the plot, but it appeals to me quiet well… Quality wise I cant complain either. Video is not that crisp, but still very well for a 1 CD RIP. Check the movie sample for your own opinion.

I’m not really used to see propers of Razor1911’s releases, but it seems the glorious days for this group are definitely over. ViTALiTY released a proper of Turok, a sci-fi first person shooter which turned out to be not such a bomb as expected, packed in a massive 12.5 GB release. The proper reason is obviously a bad crack - as the NFO mentions, Razor1911 used emulation instead of actual cracking, which results in poor performance and most of all, various crashes during the game. I suggest downloading a 3 meg crack only, getting the whole game would be a terrible waste of bandwith…

Yeah, we do not normally inform about console games, but Grand Theft Auto 4 is a game of the the year without any doubts so it deserves at least a short mention. This fresh release from group iCON for XboX 360 has 6.36 GB and is not region free - which means only people in Japan, Asia, Australia and few European countries can play it. As Rockstar doesn’t publish this game until next week, it’s possible they will ban users playing this version of GTA 4 on their XboX, so NFO recommends not going online until the next week. I’m eagerly awaiting the PC version!

As is customary for Linux distributions, Ubuntu 8.04 includes incremental updates to many of the software packages that make up the system, from low-level details like the window manager and graphics subsystem, all the way up to the bundled OpenOffice.org productivity suite.

The new release is also the first to ship with the Firefox 3.0 browser, which is currently still in late-stage beta testing. Windows Vista customers can now receive the first service pack for the operating system via the Microsoft Automatic Update service, Microsoft said Wednesday. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 will download automatically to PCs that have the automatic update feature of the OS turned on, the company said. Previously, Vista was available to customers via Windows Update, but people had to specifically download it. Not all customers will receive SP1 immediately via Automatic Update, however. The company is distributing it in phases to “ensure a seamless download experience,” Microsoft said. A timeline for when all customers would receive Vista SP1 via Automatic Update was not immediately available.

SP1 is a rollout of software updates that fix bugs and glitches in Vista and is seen as a milestone that will inspire many customers — especially those in the business market — to adopt the OS. In fact, in a recent report, “Building the Business Case for Windows Vista,” Forrester Research said more business customers plan to upgrade to Vista now that SP1 is available. Microsoft has acknowledged problems with application compatibility and lack of driver support, among others, that customers have had with Vista. It says SP1 and other updates that the company continues to make should remedy these problems.

Facebook officially unveiled their much hyped chat service today. The social networking giant flicked the switch on the service which allows users of Facebook to message their friends quickly and efficiently from any page in Facebook. After a user agrees to go online they are greeted with their friends list in a pop up form on within an integrated version at the bottom of Facebook pages. Interestingly the connection doesn’t appear to be SSL so it might be possible for bad guys to sniff any conversations with your friends.

Facebook is in the middle of a re-design aimed to promote aggregation for users personally. In a message to Facebook users the company says “As you have seen in our screen shots, the ‘Wall’ tab of your profile has a new emphasis on recent activity. We think this is the information that your friends care the most about, and the information that will recap what you have been up to lately. This change shouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable, and to ensure this we will be giving you control over what information is displayed about you. What’s really important is that you have a say in what information is being shared about you, and in turn, your friends have an easy way to see it.” It’s not clear how big corporations and businesses will deal with the new chat service as it’s so well integrated it may not be an easy task to block without blocking the whole of Facebook.

YES! We’ve been waiting for over a month but finally the new episode is out. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is THE most popular TV show on the air right now. The plot got kind of random during parts of the second season and the third season, but in my opinion the excitement and thrills are back in the fourth season. This episode is entitled “The shape of things to come” and follows Ben, so it seems like the wait will have been worth it. If not: All into battle formations for the invasion of ABC. Lost aired later than usual today due to Gregs Anatomy getting back on the air.

As part of an effort to combat phishing, PayPal plans to block older versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox and other “unsafe” browsers from accessing the online payment site. In a paper released at an RSA security conference this month in San Francisco, PayPal said there is a significant number of site visitors using browsers as old as Internet Explorer versions 3 and 4, released in August 1996 and September 1997, respectively. Such “unsafe browsers” lack the latest technology for blocking phishing sites and do not support Extended Validation Certificates, which are digital certificates that establish Websites as trusted during online transactions. Phishing is a deceptive practice used by Web criminals to acquire personal information, such as usernames, passwords and credit card details. Phishers often pose as legitimate businesses in emails to lure victims to fraudulent sites where they are asked to input their personal data. PayPal is among the favorite targets of phishers, along with eBay and online banks.

“At PayPal, we are in the process of re-implementing controls, which will first warn our customers when logging in to PayPal from those browsers that we consider unsafe,” the eBay-owned payment service said. “Later, we plan on blocking customers from accessing the site from the most unsafe — usually the oldest — browsers.” PayPal in February warned people that Apple’s Safari browser didn’t have the necessary security to protect Web users and recommended the latest versions of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox.

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has sued Pullmylink.com, a website featuring links to free - and allegedly pirated - movies and TV shows, claiming the site promotes and profits from copyright infringement. More The Office madness with Steve Carell. I enjoyed last weeks episode, although it become a little too drawn-out. It did have its good moments, such as the ‘plasma tv reveal’. I felt like sharing this article with you guys as Prison Break is one of my favorite TV shows of all time, and the third season was pretty damn good even though the writer’s strike caused the season to end abruptly. Its technically unofficial, I know, but the executive producer dropped word on the fact that its picked up so I’d say it will most likely start airing in the fall

[UPDATE–March 25] Fox made it official today: Prison Break is coming back for a fourth season. The network also confirmed that production will move from Dallas to Los Angeles. Original story follows.

For a show that was once primed to be a short-lived miniseries, Prison Break sure is exceeding its life expectancy. The Fox drama wrapped up its third season earlier this year, and fans of the show have been eagerly awaiting word on a fourth-season pickup.

Fans will still have to wait for official word on a fourth-season pickup, but for those who only need unofficial word, news over the weekend was great. On his MySpace blog, Prison Break executive producer Nick Santora dished this bit of info: Season four has been picked up.

Santora also confirmed the Prison Break crew’s move from the Dallas, Texas area to its new digs in Los Angeles. Though Santora notes his new office on the Fox lot is “about half the size with just a tiny window,” he’s stoked about the opportunity to be back in business with the people he likes.

Details on season four’s storyline have not yet been released. Last season saw the characters incarcerated in a Panamanian prison.

Google has updated its Google Earth mapping application, offering a 3D navigation system which the company claims is smoother and more natural for users. “Google Earth is a 3D application, but we realised that a lot of our users never quite got the hang of using the tilt feature to navigate around 3D features like mountains and buildings,” product manager Peter Birch wrote in a blog posting. “Not only that, but even for expert users, if you tried to get down to the ground and navigate at street level, navigation was cumbersome and confusing.” Among the new navigation tools in Google Earth 4.3 is a modified zooming feature. When users zoom in from a full-Earth view, the 3D map view will zoom in normally.

As the view zooms closer to the ground, however, the perspective tilts in a manner that Birch likens to that of a person parachuting to the ground. When the zoom level reaches ground, the user is surrounded by the 3D landscape in a view similar to that of a 3D game. Google has also added a Street View feature to the Earth application. The controversial application allows users to navigate by way of actual street photos. Google first introduced the feature in its online Maps application last year. Google Earth 4.3 will also sport improved lighting for its 3D view, as well as better rendering software designed to help the landscapes load faster. Other updates include an image acquisition feature which lists the date when landscape images were taken, as well as an improved language pack that adds a further 12 translations.

Well this is definitely my favorite of all the CSI shows, as its entertaining and sophisticated unlike its sibling show CSI Miami . Can’t say much except you should definitely watch this if you aren’t already as even the critics agree with me .

I detect a bit of a bad AR and overcrop from this rip. Looks like EZTV out too many pixels on the bottom and top portion and then the rest became stretched out. Desperate Housewives? Really? And here I was thinking they had been long dead. Guess I was pretty damn wrong because it seems they’re kicking the cash cow with the 4th season. So heres the TV rip of this episode. There was a preair of this out already but here we got the quality from 0TV. I remember this was huge when it was released and the first season was even pretty good, but is there really a reason to watch it now (apart from watching Eva Longoria with an open mouth).

The rules of this game are simple: sixteen average Americans (eighteen in seasons 8, 9 and 11, nineteen in season 14 and twenty in seasons 10, 13 and 16) are abandoned in the middle of some of the most unforgiving places on earth. Overall

I’ve seen a few reruns of this show on TNT when I had nothing better to do, and its a pretty good show that I wish I got into a little bit more. In my opinion its better than Law and Order which just seems boring and dark to me, but they’re pretty much about the same thing.

After traces of blood linked back to a missing teen are found, the team re-investigates the 2006 case of a missing boy who went missing from a high school for deaf children.

XOR bring us the newest episode of The Simpsons, a show which in my opinion has been running for a little too long but it did manage to keep its audience watching, just like me . I missed this episode so I’ll definitely grab this, and the synopsis does sound pretty good.
